I’m Katie Licata, a New York-based interior designer, originally hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area. My style harmoniously blends Northern California comfort, New York sophistication, and Miami flair. I have a diverse background that includes fine arts, bespoke cabinet & door hardware, custom millwork, real estate, and professional organizing. My passion for interior design was inspired by a trip to South Beach at age 16 while floating in the pool of Ian Schrager’s Delano Hotel Miami. I went on to earn my bachelor’s in design and photography from USC, followed by an account manager position for a custom architectural hardware company. This role allowed me to collaborate with many top designers and architects, inspiring my next steps. In 2018, my husband and I moved to New York so I could pursue an Associate’s Degree in Interior Design at Parsons. I’ve since interned for “Elle Decor A-list” designer Alyssa Kaptio in NYC and taken on my own projects from London to San Francisco.
